A typical production worker spends his/her major working hours sitting or standing at his/her workplace. Hence the workplace must be very suitable and ergonomic for him/her and adapted to the tasks. During the „Production and Quality Management" course we developed in a team of 5 students a future workplace for a transmission assembly using the Cardboard Engineering method.

In this group work I was part of the project management and mainly responsible for the quality conformance aspects of our workplace. There I implemented a kanban-system to make use of visual management. I followed the guidelines to minimize errors as stated in ISO 9001 and implemented the Poka Yoke approach to further prevent any errors. In addition, I used the European Foundation for Quality Management’s (EFQM) excellence model to become more competitive.
